The Antidote for a Humid Climate
Baby Powder was a lifesaver when I volunteered in the Dominican Republic a few summers ago. In a humid climate, baby powder is one way to feel clean and refreshed, instead of sticky and sweaty. I don’t know if it ever caught on with the boys in our group, but by the end of the summer, every girl had her own bottle, and the boys just mooched from us. If your missionary is dealing with high humidity, baby powder is manna from Heaven.

My missionary is actually serving in the Dominican Republic right now! Baby Powder’s a great idea–but if I send it to him without directions he might be like, “What’s this for?” Haha. How did you guys use it and what does it do, exactly? I’ve only ever used for oily hair… Utah has low humidity. =]

It’s best to use at night before going to bed. Not to get graphic, but that’s usually when the humidity really makes you uncomfortable: sweaty and sticky all over your arms and legs, etc. Tell him to put it on like lotion before going to bed, and it can make sleeping under a sweltering mosquito net a little more bearable…
