A necklace is inexpensive to mail, which is great news if your missionary is serving overseas, but beware of investing in an expensive gift is there’s a chance the package won’t arrive.

I recently attempted to purchase some clothes for my cousin, who’s serving in Korea. After striking out at several stores, I had to return home empty handed. I thought I’d start posting clothing pieces I come across. This lovely top is from Downeast Outfitters, a definite go-to store for cute modest wardrobes. Who doesn't love the look of Fall?

This is a fun and simple craft that is sure to add autumn festivity to your missionary’s day. I found this craft, and detailed instructions, on the following website:

Basically, the effect is achieved by sewing silk leaves together with thread, and then dangling them from the top of a window. Step inside any craft store, and you will easily find the ingredients you need. Include tape, or better yet, hooks (like the Command brand) so your missionary can hang these beautiful decorations.

Patterns Can Break Up Any Routine!

Tights serve a double purpose in the winter months: they offer extra protection from cold climates, and add a little fun to a winter wardrobe, with whimsical designs and cute patterns. You can purchase patterned tights at a myriad of department stores, or browse the aisles at Target to see what you come up with. Don’t get too wild with the patterns, but your sister missionary will appreciate something new and fun!

Nail polish is the perfect gift for sister missionaries: it’s inexpensive to buy and ship, and it adds a little “pretty” to the day. Don’t get too crazy with the colors, as most missions have guidelines that keep makeup and accessories conservative. Instead, find simple, feminine colors — she’ll love the change in routine!
